FrontPage Website Templates: Tutorial 4
Creating a New Page

Before You Start

Assumptions:This tutorial assumes that you have a web open. Our templates generally include a page called "newpage.htm" which you can use to create your own pages. Alternatively, you can use any page which you like as a basis for creating your new page.

Step 1: Open the page of your choice. In this case, we are using the basic "newpage.htm" page.

Step 2: From the "File" menu, select "Save As" to save the page with a new name. We have decided to add an "About Us" page, so we are calling it "aboutus.htm".

Step 3: Change the page title. You can do this by right-clicking on your new page (in Normal view), and select "Page Properties" from the dropdown menu. Type in the new title and click OK.

Step 4: Now you can edit your new page and put all your content in. Or, you can leave this step for later.
Step 5: You need to add your new page into the Navigation of your web. In this case, we have global navigation links across the top of every page. Open your navigation view by using the "View", "Navigation" menu.
Step 6: Select the new page you have created (remember, ours is called "aboutus.htm") from the list on the left. Drag it over to the navigation on the right.
Step 7: If your new page doesn't have the right name in the navigation view, be sure to edit the name. Click on the name, and type in the correct title.
Step 8: Now double-click on the new page in the navigation view to open it, and you will see it has appeared in the navigation links!
